DESI CUISINE

Desi cuisine refers to any of several major regional cuisines, including East Asian, South East Asian, South Asian, Central Asian, and Middle Eastern. A cuisine is a characteristic style of cooking practices and traditions, usually associated with a specific culture. Asia, being the largest and most populous continent.
Ingredients common to many cultures in the East and South East regions of the continent include rice, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, chilies, dried onions and soy. Stir frying, steaming, and deep frying are common cooking methods.
In Pakistan, main courses are usually served with wheat bread (either roti or naan) or rice. Salad is generally taken as a side dish with the main course, rather than as an appetizer beforehand. Assorted fresh fruit or sometimes desserts are consumed at the end of a meal.
